Magnification is a C++ implemention of the paper Eulerian Video Magnification for Revealing Subtle Changes in the World.. This project uses much of the C++ implementation from kgram007/Eulerian-Motion-Magnification, but removes some redundant steps and adds concurrency where possible to make processing a streaming video more performant. So I've actually tried to implement Eulerian video magnification myself, albeit using Python, because I believe when I first looked into this, ~5 year ago, the code was MatLab only. I was really excited about it, because, as a cardiologist, I immediately thought we could use this to identify irregular heart beats in the patient waiting room, for example. Eulerian video magnification is a set of simple and robust algorithms that can reveal and analyze tiny motions.

It is agnostic to the underlying imaging model and can even work in cases where brightness constancy is not true as long as the changes are small. 2.3.

2013-02-27 · The amplification process is called Eulerian Video Magnification, and is the brainchild of a team of scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.

An algorithm developed by MIT can be used to show changes invisible to the naked eye in your video clips.

This processing does not involve the computation of optical flow, and in comparison to the previous Eulerian Video Magnification method it supports larger amplification factors and is significantly less sensitive to noise. These improved capabilities broaden the set of applications for motion processing in videos.

For this video we tuned the temporal filter to a frequency band that includes the heart rate-0.88 Hz (53 bpm)-and set the amplification factor to a = 10.

The resulting signal is then amplified to reveal hidden information.Using our method, we are able to visualize the flow of blood as it fills the face and also to amplify and reveal small motions. 2012-07-01 · Our goal is to reveal temporal variations in videos that are difficult or impossible to see with the naked eye and display them in an indicative manner.

Eulerian video magnification is a set of simple and robust algorithms that can reveal and analyze tiny motions. It is a new type of microscope, not made of optics, but of software taking an ordinary video as input and producing one in which the temporal changes are larger.
